Méliuz is a Brazilian startup. It is basically a technology company, operating in the digital environment in the form of a marketplace and also financial services, in partnership with various retailers.
Méliuz's business model works like this: large retailers and commercial companies pay to advertise on the different channels available on Méliuz, establishing a commercial partnership.

But how can this model be beneficial and attractive to customers, who instead of buying through official channels, choose Méliuz? Simple, because for every purchase made through the platform, the customer receives a portion of that amount, which can be redeemed for their checking or savings account, without paying anything extra for it.
The model is not a novelty on the internet, but it is strong and large enough to attract investors.

On its official channel, Méliuz calls this strategy 'Win-Win-Win', and explains the strategy as a way to profit for all three sides of the transactions: Méliuz, partner retailers, and customers.
This is because the customer receives benefits and access to diverse partners, products, and services. In contrast, the partner has access to a new channel for promotion and communication, a new user base, and the possibility of customizing campaigns based on consumption habits. Meanwhile, Méliuz is compensated by the partners for promoting their products, services, and brands, generating sales, acquiring, and retaining users.

The company's purpose is, through technology and the use of data, to bring brands and customers closer together and make consumption relationships smarter and more profitable for all involved.
In short, Méliuz's goal is to offer all types of technology solutions that, above all, allow for a positive and sustainable return to the company and its customers and partners.
Méliuz was founded in 2011 by Israel Salmen and Ofli Guimarães, when the site went live for the first time, being part of San Pedro Valley, a startup community in Belo Horizonte.
From 2012 to 2013, the company joined a group of Startups in Chile, and by the end of that year, it reopened its office in Belo Horizonte, with only six employees.

In 2016, the company launched the Méliuz app, which would be the first step towards significant growth for the company.
In 2017, the company was elected the 6th best app in the shopping category, in 2017, according to the Conectaí Survey conducted by IBOPE.
In 2019, it entered the financial solutions market, in partnership with a bank. Consequently, it launched its first credit card.

In 2020, it began offering cashback through the scanning of invoices when purchasing specific products. In the same year, it also launched the Méliuz Extra Income program.
Finally, the company currently has over 100 employees and is one of the main players in this field.
