Rede D'Or São Luiz has one of the largest facilities for surgeries performed with the assistance of robots in Brazil. Thus, this technology is present in 16 hospitals in the network, and procedures are performed using a minimally invasive technique in the areas of urology, gynecology, general surgery, and bariatrics.
Founded in 1977, Rede D'Or São Luiz began with the inauguration of Grupo Labs and the opening of the first Cardiolab unit in Botafogo. The company initially stood out in some exams performed by doctors fully dedicated to this function.
In the late 1980s, the group inaugurated the first mega-unit in Botafogo. The building served to implement the concept of all exams in one place. The following years marked the company's expansion and the modernization of various procedures.
In 2013, the network opened more units in Rio de Janeiro, such as the Hospital e Maternidade Oeste D'Or and Caxias D'Or, in the city of Duque de Caxias. The network's expansion continued with the acquisition of the Santa Luzia and Coração do Brasil hospitals in Brasília and São Paulo, respectively.
The year 2015 was marked by a business plan aimed at expanding from 4,000 beds to 8,000, within a stipulated timeframe of five years. The brand's expansion also involved more investments in health, technology, and quality of care for clients.
The company continued its expansion plan, and in 2019, the first hospital in the network was inaugurated in Sergipe. The group also incorporated new units in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília, and Niterói.
In 2020, Rede D'Or São Luiz went public and entered the Stock Exchange, raising 11.93 billion reais, marking the largest IPO of a Brazilian company since 2013.
