The Dimed Group is a Company that operates in the health sector. Comprised of three businesses (Panvel, Dimed, and Lifar), the group sells pharmaceutical products in general, such as medications, generics, cosmetics, perfumery, etc.

The formation of the group consists of the Panvel pharmacy chain, which has over 450 stores; one of the main distributors of medications in Brazil, Dimed and Lifar, a laboratory specialized in the development and manufacturing of cosmetics, as well as food and general medications.
Together, the three businesses represent a complete production line of the Dimed Group, where efficiency and constant innovations are presented. In addition to its own businesses, the group also has collaborators who contribute to excellence in service delivery.
The history of the Dimed Group began in 1967, after the two largest pharmacy chains in Rio Grande do Sul, Velgos and Panitz, merged. The merger led to the creation of Dimed Distribuidora de Medicamentos Ltda, a purchasing center for medications.

At that time, the Panitz Network owned the Lifar Laboratory and the Velgos Network owned the Sanitas Laboratory. Together, the companies created the Lifar Laboratory. Already in 1973, the shareholders of both pharmacy chains created Panvel Pharmacies.
In 1977, Panvel conducted several surveys with customers and, based on that, developed the expansion of the retail area. Three years later, in 1980, the Dimed Group inaugurated the Distribution Center, located in Santa Catarina. By 1983, the group already had 72 stores in the Panvel pharmacy chain.
In 1994, Panvel launched the Alô Panvel tele-delivery service. Some time later, the company expanded its service to the digital medium by creating the online store Panvel.com. Through online service, Panvel began to offer medications and hygiene and beauty products.

With the arrival of the 2000s, the Dimed Group innovated by implementing an electronic ordering system, E-Dimed, aimed at customers. A year later, the Group launched its own medication, Timeolate, manufactured by the Lifar laboratory.
In 2006, the company was once again a pioneer by being the first company in the pharmaceutical sector to issue electronic invoices in the country. By 2008, the Dimed Group began creating production segments, where it established stores specialized in customer service.
In Porto Alegre, the Panvel Megastores and Panvel Well-Being were inaugurated, both stores focused on wellness and beauty products, as well as medications for diabetics, fitness, and orthopedic needs. Additionally, in 2008, the Dimed Group's loyalty program was created.

In 2009, Lifar changed its visual identity upon completing 40 years of history. By 2010, the Panvel pharmacy chain reached the mark of 280 branches. Furthermore, it entered the Paraná market with the opening of 3 stores.
The Dimed Group was officially institutionalized in 2014, through the merger of the three companies Panvel, Dimed, and Lifar. With the institutionalization, the group's visual identity was created, as well as the inauguration of the Group's headquarters.
In 2015, Panvel took another step in expanding the pharmacy chain by inaugurating 34 stores in the South region. Additionally, it launched the Panvel APP in the same year, a platform that integrates the company's service channels.
Soon after, in 2016, the pharmacy chain launched the Panvel app, available for both Android and iOS. Recently, in 2019, the company launched Bem Panvel, a consumer relationship program. In summary, the program offers special discounts on medications and affordable prices on beauty and hygiene products.
