Lojas Quero Quero operates in the production of construction materials, furniture, and appliances. Thus, it encompasses the civil construction and home segments.
The company has two distribution centers and stores spread across the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, and Santa Catarina. Currently, the company has over 250 stores and is in the process of expanding to the southern region of Brazil.

In addition to its retail operations, Lojas Quero Quero also manages the VerdeCard credit cards. There are already over 3 million cards issued in its stores, which are accepted not only at Lojas Quero Quero but also at more than 200,000 affiliated establishments.
The Palavra! Lojas Quero Quero is a type of commitment that the company makes to the customer. In summary, since 2012, the company has committed to providing the product for free if the delivery is delayed.
Almost all of the company's products are included in the Palavra! commitment. Only locally supplied products (such as wood and sand) and raw materials (such as iron and cement) are not covered by the commitment.
Therefore, if the delivery is delayed, the customer has up to 90 days after the promised delivery date to request that the product be free of charge.

Lojas Quero Quero was founded in 1967 in Santo Cristo, Rio Grande do Sul, by Tilli Scholze, Walter Gallas, and Senna Hartmann. In the beginning, Lojas Quero Quero was just a small trading and representation company.
In 1969, the sale of construction materials was incorporated into the portfolio of products offered. In 1970, the concept of external sales began with outside salespeople in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul.
Subsequently, in 1978, the company also began selling appliances. The company's expansion process came in 1980, totaling 4 stores.
By 1981, the company once again increased its portfolio of products offered by adding furniture. In the same year, the sale of financial services and consortia began.

In 1993, Lojas Quero Quero opened its first store outside of Rio Grande do Sul, and in 2002, the new distribution center in Sapiranga was inaugurated. Years later, in 2007, the company celebrated the opening of its 150th store and the acquisition of 36 stores.
In 2008, the company was acquired by Advent International. In summary, Advent International is a private equity fund that contributed professional management to Lojas Quero Quero.
Thus, it was responsible for implementing various resources aimed at maintaining the organization, such as a well-established trainee program.

In 2009, the headquarters moved to Cachoeirinha in Greater Porto Alegre. In 2014, the “Mais Construção” store model was implemented, and in 2018, the VerdeCard app was launched. Finally, in 2020, the company went public.
