empresa justinha. coisa boa

Itaú Unibanco S.A., or simply Itaú, is the largest private bank in Brazil.Headquartered in São Paulo, the company has over 5,000 branches around the world. In addition, it has a total of 48,000 ATMs throughout the country and abroad, operating in a total of 20 countries.

In total, there are 96,000 employees, who work for the company considered one of the 100 best Companies to work for. Banco Itaú has 55 million customers; 2.1 billion investors and 12 million account holders, making it one of the most recognized companies in the sector, both in Brazil and in Latin America, as well as one of the largest banks in the world.
The history of Banco Itaú began in 1943 when Alfredo Egydio de Souza Aranha founded Banco Central de Crédito S.A. Although it was founded in 1943, the authorization to carry out banking operations only came a year later, in 1944.
The name Itaú Unibanco – as we know it today – would only be incorporated into the company more than 20 years after its founding, through the acquisition of the Minas Gerais bank of the same name.

Thus, already with the authorization to carry out banking operations, the first branch of the bank was opened in 1945, in São Paulo. In the same year, the construction of two more branches was completed and, by the end of the decade, the bank already had 11 branches, with 3 in São Paulo and 8 in the interior of São Paulo.
At that time, Brazil was undergoing intense economic processes related to the coffee cycle. In 1951, in Santos, the bank inaugurated the first branch in the municipality, facilitating the work of coffee companies. In 1952, the then Banco Central de Crédito S.A. changed its name to Banco Federal de Crédito, opening new service possibilities.
