BRB – Banco de Brasília – is a financial institution controlled by the Government of the Federal District, operating throughout the DF and surrounding regions. In addition to Brasília, the bank also has a presence in six other Brazilian states: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, and Goiás.

Organized as a mixed economy company with publicly traded capital, BRB has controlled companies, both direct and indirect, such as BRB – Crédito, Financiamento e Investimento S.A (Financeira BRB); BRB – Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários S.A. (BRB – DTVM); Cartão BRB S.A.; BRB – Administradora e Corretora de Seguros S.A. (Corretora Seguros BRB); and BSB Administradora de Ativos S.A. (BSB Ativos).
The Bank serves individuals and legal entities and offers services such as:

loan and financing
investment, insurance, and pension
judicial deposit
receipt of funds
social programs
credit card issuance.
BRB has 138 branches and 585 self-service points only in the Federal District. On B3, the financial institution has common shares (BSLI3) and preferred shares (BSLI4), in addition to being listed on the fractional market under the codes BSLI3F and BSLI4F.
The history of BRB began in 1964, when it was created as a mixed company by the Government of the Federal District. The authorization for operation was granted by the Central Bank of Brazil on June 12, 1966.
The creation of the bank was designed so that the development of the region would have a financial agent capable of managing the economy, raising the necessary resources for the development of the DF.

In 1986, the name Banco Regional de Brasília S.A. was changed to Banco de Brasília S.A. In 1991, it became a multiple bank with the following portfolios: commercial, exchange, development, and real estate.
Currently, BRB has a workforce of 3,280 employees, assisted by 450 interns, 120 apprentices, and 705 outsourced workers, thus generating more than 4,500 jobs.
