Banco Pan, formerly Banco PanAmericano, is a Brazilian financial institution, controlled by Caixa Econômica Federal and BTG Pactual. Headquartered in São Paulo, Banco Pan is one of the main medium-sized banks in the country. It focuses on individuals, offering services such as: payroll loans, vehicle financing, institutional credit cards, and insurance.

In addition, Banco Pan offers fixed income investment options, as well as a digital bank. Generally, the financial institution is present in all state capitals of Brazil and in the main cities of the country, with 60 service points.
To assist in offering banking services, the Bank relies on partners that optimize and boost credit diversification. These partners include banking correspondents, multi-brand stores for new and used vehicles, authorized dealerships, and real estate partners.

The history of Banco Pan began in 1980, when the bank was called PanAmericano. Initially, the financial institution was founded by Sílvio Santos, a Brazilian businessman and television host.
At the time it was founded, the bank aimed to provide credit to individuals interested in acquiring products offered in the programs presented by Silvio Santos.

After its founding, in 1990, Banco PanAmericano was already considered one of the most successful financial institutions of the Sílvio Santos Group.
Then, Banco Pan actually emerged after the acquisition made by BTG Pactual of all shares of PanAmericano, previously owned by the Sílvio Santos Group. With the acquisition, BTG began to control PAN with Caixapar, through the Shareholders' Agreement of the Company.
Still in 2011, the company underwent changes focused on the withdrawal of partnerships among collaborating shareholders. In addition, Operational and Commercial Cooperation Agreements were drawn up between the three institutions.
