The Technos group is the largest watch company in Latin America. Since 1956, the company has focused on the assembly and distribution of watches, either directly or through subsidiaries.

In the beginning, the company operated only with the Technos brand; however, over the years, the company diversified its portfolio to include other brands and market segments.
Therefore, in addition to its own Technos brand, the group also has the brands Mormaii and Seiko, which belong to third parties but are used by the group through licensing or product distribution contracts.
Additionally, by starting to operate in the fashion segment, the company added the Euro and Mariner brands to its portfolio. Subsequently, the group also secured exclusive distribution rights for the Timex brand throughout the national territory.
To strengthen its presence in the fashion segment, the Technos group launched the Allora brand and acquired Touch. Finally, the Technos group also acquired the Dumont Saab Group.
As a result, Technos incorporated two of its own brands into its portfolio, Dumont and Condor, as well as licensed international brands from the Fossil Group, such as Fossil and Michael Kors.

Currently, after making adjustments focused on having an optimized portfolio, the company has 10 brands:
Technos;
Condor;
Mormaii;
Euro;
Dumont;
Fossil;
Michael Kors;
Touch;
Allora;
Mariner.
The Technos brand was created in 1900 in Switzerland by the Gunzinger family, recognized for having a centuries-old tradition in the watchmaking industry.
In 1956, the importer Centauro was founded in Brazil to be the exclusive distributor of Technos. As a result, during the 50s, 60s, and 70s, Technos grew significantly.

In 1982, the assembly and distribution plant in Manaus was inaugurated, and Technos began assembling its watches in Brazil. The result was that by the end of the 80s, the company was already a leader in the national watch market in terms of revenue.
In the 90s, the Technos brand was purchased and became a Brazilian brand. Subsequently, in 2002, Technos began to explore third-party brands by licensing the Mormaii brand and exclusively distributing products identified by the Seiko brand.
In 2008, control of the company was acquired by the GMT Investment and Participation Fund. The following year, the Euro brand was launched, focused on the female audience and aimed at reinforcing Technos' positioning in the fashion market.
In 2010, Technos relaunched the Mariner brand, which had been a great success in the 80s. Aimed at the young audience, the relaunch of the brand aimed to take the lead in the newly re-explored market of interchangeable strap watches.
In 2011, Technos went public on the stock exchange, where it is listed in the Consumer Cyclical sector and in the Accessories segment. In 2012, Technos relaunched Allora and reinforced its presence in the economic women's fashion segment.
Additionally, the company signed a distribution and trademark usage agreement for Timex, exclusively throughout the national territory, which helped reinforce the company's position in the sports segment.

Finally, still in 2012, Technos completed the acquisition of Touch, a company that develops and sells watches and glasses under its own brand with exclusive distribution for a franchise network.
In 2013, Technos began operating in e-commerce and currently has five e-commerce sites, four focused on the Technos, Fossil, Euro, and Condor brands, and one for online sales of all brands, the timecenter.
In 2015, Technos began operating its own stores and today has 15 stores, including full-price stores and outlets. In 2017, Technos launched the first full-display smartwatch from a Brazilian brand, the Technos Connect 3.0.
The launch included ten smartwatches, including hybrid versions. In 2018, the year the company celebrated 60 years since Technos arrived in Brazil, the Essence collection was launched.
In 2019, the company underwent changes in its board of directors and management. As a result, it initiated an operational turnaround process focused on resuming the company's growth and profitability.

The year 2020 was marked by the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, Technos suffered from the closure of shopping centers and lockdowns. Despite this, in 2020 the company continued the operational turnaround process and began to show recovery in its operational results.
Finally, in 2021, the company celebrated 10 years since its IPO and continued to reap the benefits of the turnaround project implemented since 2019.
Additionally, the company also evolved in its digitalization project both in relation to online sales and in relation to the relevance of its line of connected watches.
