Orizon Valorização de Resíduos S.A. is a Brazilian company that operates in the waste treatment sector. Founded in 1999, the company focuses its activities on four distinct segments, in addition to investing in sustainable development and other technologies.
Thus, the company operates in the final disposal of solid waste, receiving about 20 thousand tons of waste generated by 12% of the Brazilian population, and also works with energy and biogas, implementing efficient systems for generating clean energy in ecoparks.

It is also present in the processing and industrialization of waste, developing processing plants for industrial materials, recycling plants for urban solid waste, and direct burning plants for waste that ultimately generate energy.
Its latest line of action includes environmental engineering care, which has a structure for managing contaminated areas, using modern technologies and integrated systems, responsible for high-precision and resolution equipment.
In February 2021, the company began to integrate the Novo Mercado of the Stock Exchange, after completing its initial public offering (IPO). Currently, the company serves approximately 20 million users and 500 corporate clients per year.
In the market since 1999, the company was previously known as Haztec Investimentos e Participações S.A. and its founding as Orizon Valorização de Resíduos S.A. took place in November 2009.
Recognized for its pioneering work in integrated waste management and processing solutions, the company experienced organic and inorganic growth, largely made possible by capital contributions from private equity funds, made during the first decade of the 2000s.

Thus, the company consolidated itself, always aiming to be a leader in environmental solutions in Brazil. It began to engage in activities such as water and effluent treatment; waste treatment and disposal; environmental and forestry engineering services; and manufacturing equipment for water and effluent treatment.
Between 2007 and 2010, the group underwent transactions in its various segments of operation, and in 2013 a new shareholder arrived, Inovatec Participações S.A., which came to hold 59.3% of the company's share capital.

During the period from 2013 to 2018, in addition to Orizon undergoing a change of control, the company also adopted a new market strategy that emphasized the development of strategic partnerships regarding biogas energy.
Thus, the most recent period was marked by growth, new positioning, and opportunities. Between 2018 and 2021, Orizon experienced an improvement in the efficiency of strategic assets, in addition to strengthening governance. After a rebranding, the company went public on the Stock Exchange in February 2021, shortly after completing its initial public offering (IPO).
