Conservas Oderich is a company that operates in canned goods. Thus, it works with products such as: meat rolls, preserves, canned vegetables, mayonnaises, and the like. It is worth noting that Conservas Oderich was a pioneer in the production of canned goods in Brazil.
All manufacturing processes are authorized and registered by the Ministry of Agriculture and/or the Ministry of Health, using the same technology employed in the European Common Market.

Oderich is part of the Federal Government's School Meal programs, supplying its products to the National Student Assistance Foundation – FNDE, Armed Forces, Government of the State of São Paulo, Federal District, Manaus, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Pernambuco, Paraná, Pará, and other municipalities.
The history of Oderich began in 1879 when Adolph Oderich arrived in Brazil. In summary, at just 22 years old, the young German came to Brazil at the invitation of an exporting company from Hamburg, as a Traveling Salesman.
He settled in São Sebastião do Caí, got married, and had five children. In addition, he set up a warehouse in the city and created a lard refining center.
As the lard produced, sold under the Sol brand, was of high quality, the product quickly gained notoriety. By 1908, the company Carlos H. Oderich & Cia. was founded.
In the same year, Adolph Oderich's eldest son went to Germany to study meat preservation and returned excited to create the first company in Brazil, and the third in the world, in canned goods.

With the company's pioneering efforts, it experienced significant growth over the following decades and reached a production of one million kilograms of pork derivatives per year.
The company's portfolio included products such as: sausages, bacon, sausages, pork cheese, soups, and broths. By 1936, Oderich joined with other companies in the sector and gave rise to the company Frigoríficos Nacionais Sul-Brasileiros S.A.
In 1956, Oderich left the conglomerate of companies Frigoríficos Nacionais S.A. and changed its corporate name to Conservas Oderich S.A.
The 1980s were marked by a new cycle of expansion, always focusing on the values of its founder: ethics, quality, and entrepreneurship. In 1997, the first branch of Oderich was established in the city of Pelotas.
As this is a region with a tradition in the production of preserved sweets, Oderich decided to set up a company focused on this segment.
The company established partnerships with local producers for peach, sweet potato, pumpkin harvests, among others, which contributed to the industrial process and the growth of the region.
By 1998, Oderich launched its mayonnaise, which served to introduce the Oderich brand to a new generation of consumers and significantly boost its sales.

The year 2000 was marked by the arrival of refrigerated chicken sausages sold in bulk. As a result, the demand for canned meat was strongly impacted. The alternative found by the company was the international market.
Thus, Oderich boosted its exports and today exports its products to over 60 countries. In 2004, activities began at the Eldorado do Sul Unit, responsible for manufacturing metal packaging.
The production capacity of the unit is 300 million cans per year in various formats, ensuring autonomy over one of the most important phases of the production chain.
Moreover, Oderich innovated with the creation of the rectangular ham can, which facilitates the removal of meat from the packaging.
In 2005, Oderich recognized the opportunity for expansion in Goiás due to the geographical location and climatic conditions that favor the cultivation of vegetables in the state.
Thus, in 2006, the company opened a branch in the municipality of Orizona and began producing tomato pulp. After that, it installed the production line for green corn and canned peas.
By 2008, it expanded its product mix and began producing pineapple, jardineira, and mixed vegetables. The year 2009 was an investment year for Oderich.
This is because the company expanded its warehouse area by constructing new buildings at the distribution center, optimized product shipping, achieving savings and better working conditions for employees.

Finally, in 2021, Oderich purchased the canned food factory from Comercial Mineira S.A. (Comisa). The factory is located in Luziânia, Goiás, and has machines and equipment aimed at producing canned vegetables and legumes.
In short, today, Oderich is a company recognized nationally and internationally for the quality of its products.
