Othon Hotels was founded in 1943 by Othon Lynch Bezerra de Mello, who created the Brazilian Company of New Hotels. Later, the company would become the largest hotel chain in Brazil.
The first hotel to be inaugurated was the Airport Hotel (1943) in Rio de Janeiro (currently known as Aeroporto Othon Travel). Today, the chain has 12 units in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, and Pernambuco.

Present in the Brazilian market for over six decades, Othon Hotels is part of one of the largest Brazilian networks in the industry, enjoying tradition and respect. The company's differential, however, lies in its structural investments.
In this sense, since its foundation, the Othon Hotels chain has worked intensively on strengthening its brand, seeking to expand the number of hotels incessantly. The idea is to reach a total of 30 hotels managed by the chain in the coming years, in addition to efforts for the revitalization of buildings.
Founded in 1943, the Othon Hotels chain is a creation of its idealizer, entrepreneur Othon Lynch Bezerra de Mello, who created the Brazilian Company of New Hotels, later transformed into the largest hotel chain in Brazil.

In 2003, the Othon Hotels group began to broaden its horizons, investing in a new type of accommodation. In this sense, the Othon Pousadas brand was born, with units in the carioca cities of Petrópolis and Paraty.
Currently, the Othon Hotels chain operates with 12 units in Brazil, in the Southeast region, with units in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Matão, São Carlos, Araraquara, and Belo Horizonte, and in the Northeast region, in the cities of Salvador, Fortaleza, and Natal.
