HBR Realty operates in the development and management of real estate ventures. Its headquarters is located in Mogi das Cruzes, in the interior of São Paulo.
In total, the company has over a thousand stores spread across Brazil and about 50 different ventures.

The company's areas of operation are quite diversified. Some segments it operates in are:
Corporate buildings: The company buys, incorporates, constructs, and sells buildings that meet the needs of companies.
Shopping Centers: HBR Realty manages shopping centers, with infrastructure focused on convenience and security.
Hotels: The company conducts prospecting and development of properties in partnership with major hotel chains worldwide.
Parking lots: HBR Realty manages garages in major urban centers such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso, and Minas Gerais.
Self Storage: These are private spaces for storing personal belongings or company items.
Built to suit: HBR Realty develops properties to meet the needs of a company.
Sale lease back: In this type of negotiation, a company sells the property to HBR Realty but continues to occupy it as a tenant.

In order to organize its operations in so many areas, HBR Realty created four platforms focused on different classes of assets:
Comvem: Comvem operates in the commercial property rental segment.
HBR 3A: This is a platform focused on the development and management of AAA corporate buildings located in key areas of São Paulo.
HBR Malls: It focuses on the purchase, development, and management of shopping centers in economically promising cities.
HBR Opportunities: It focuses on various real estate investments such as the management of hotels and parking lots.
HBR Realty was founded in 2011 by the Borenstein family. In the same year of its founding, the company began its activities.
However, the company's history dates back to 1961, when the Holding Hélio Borenstein S.A. – Administration, Holdings, and Commerce was created.

Thus, HBR Realty has the significant advantage of being part of a group of companies specialized in the real estate sector.
Since 2013, HBR Realty has been operating the ComVem concept – HBR Convenience Center. As a result, four very important assets were inaugurated in 2014. They were:
ComVem Tietê
ComVem Jardim Europa
ComVem Washington Luiz
ComVem JK
In 2015, HBR Realty purchased Shopping Mogi. This shopping center has significant economic relevance and served as HBR Realty's entry into the shopping center segment.
Subsequently, between 2016 and 2018, HBR Realty delivered the corporate venture HBR 3A Faria Lima and completed the purchase of Shopping Suzano.

Finally, in 2021, the company took an important step in its trajectory: it went public on the Brazilian stock exchange.
With the IPO, the company raised over 730 million reais. It is worth noting that it debuted on the stock exchange through a restricted share offering.
On the stock exchange, the company is listed with a market value of R$ 588.18 million and has an equity of R$ 2.36 billion.
