Eternit S.A was founded in 1940 and, since the beginning, the company's focus has been on the manufacture of fiber cement and concrete roofing, as well as sanitary metals, construction solutions, chrysotile mining, etc. Due to the diversity of its portfolio, the Group is a leader in the segment in which it operates.

Furthermore, since the company's founding, the location of the factories has been strategically planned so that Eternit can broadly serve all five regions of Brazil. As part of the manufacturing processes, the company has more than 15,000 resale points, being known as one of the main manufacturers of fiber cement products.
A differentiator that the company has had since the beginning of its operations is access to quality and durable roofing for low-income families. Thus, Eternit serves all social classes. Due to the number of resale points, the company has approximately 2,500 direct employees.
Eternit's headquarters is located in São Paulo. In addition to the administrative headquarters and the medical office, the company also has 4 strategically located factories in the Central-West, Southeast, North, and Southeast regions. Also part of the company's Group are SAMA S.A, Precon Goiás Industrial Ltda., and Tégula Soluções para Telhados Ltda.

In general, the company's growth began to expand in 2012, as soon as Eternit became a partner of companies in the same sector. SAMA S.A., for example, is the only miner in Latin America that produces chrysotile. Precon Goiás specializes in the production of concrete roofing, with 6 factories throughout Brazil.
Production in the national territory can meet all states. When the company produces excess, the production is exported to more than 20 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia. In addition, the company is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and supports the United Nations Millennium Goals.
In the stock market, Eternit has been part of B3 since 2006, being listed on the Novo Mercado, the highest level of corporate governance.
