In short, Diagnósticos da América has 700 service units, performs more than 5,000 types of tests, and has over 2,000 doctors.
The history of Diagnósticos da América began in 1961 with the function of Médicos Associados em Patologia Clínica (MAP). A few years after its founding, in the 1970s, endocrinologist Caio Auriemo joined the group.
In the 1980s, the company changed its name to Delboni Auriemo. At that time, the company already had 26 units in São Paulo.

In 1999, the Lavoisier Laboratory group was integrated into the group. As a result, the company began operating under the name Dasa. In summary, Lavoisier was founded in 1951 in São Paulo by 3 medical students and a chemist, as Bio-Ciência Lavoisier.
Over time, Lavoisier began to offer not only laboratory tests but also imaging diagnostics services. In 1999, when it was incorporated into the Delboni Auriemo brand, Lavoisier had 14 service units.
By joining together, Delboni Auriemo and Lavoisier formed Diagnósticos da América S.A. (Dasa), the largest diagnostic medicine company in Latin America. In 2001, two of the main laboratories in Rio de Janeiro, Bronstein and Lâmina, joined Dasa.
In 2004, the company went public on the stock exchange, where it is listed in the Health sector, in the Medical, Hospital, Analysis, and Diagnostics Services segment.
After going public, the company invested in its expansion and integrated several laboratories. Subsequently, in 2014, the company's governance conducted a public offering to acquire control of the company.
As a result, the company had fewer shareholders and more concentrated capital, which helped to broaden the company's long-term vision.

In 2015, Pedro Godoy Bueno was appointed CEO of the company. Soon, the company underwent a renewal in its management model. Two years later, Dasa launched its genomic medicine brand, GeneOne, offering genetic tests and examinations at its laboratory units.
Finally, in 2018, the company launched the e-commerce for the GeneOne brand and completed the implementation of Telepathology, a technology for digitizing samples in the field of Pathological Anatomy.
