CBA (CBAV3) – Brazilian Aluminum Company, founded in 1941, is a Brazilian company belonging to the Votorantim group focused on aluminum production. Currently the largest in the segment in Brazil and one of the largest in Latin America, it is the only company in the country to operate sustainably throughout its production chain, from mining to product distribution.
Focusing on a process with 100% renewable energy, CBA seeks to generate the least amount of carbon possible in its industries. Headquartered in São Paulo, the company is present in seven Brazilian states with:

Production units: Miraí (MG), Itamarati de Minas (MG), Poços de Caldas (MG), and Barro Alto (GO), focused on mining; Sorocaba (SP) branch focused on Machining and Boiler-making; Metalex, focused on Foundry and Recycling located in Araçariguama (SP); in addition to two factories in Alumínio (SP) and Itapissuma (PE).

Currently, the company has a market value of R$ 6.25 billion and is responsible for 27% of the national aluminum production.
The company's history begins in 1941, with the first mining operations in Poços de Caldas. However, CBA is officially founded in 1955 as the first integrated aluminum company in the country.
In 1973, the company already held 30% of the national aluminum production, becoming the leader in production in the country. Soon, in the following year, the company's first hydroelectric plant was inaugurated, marking its first step in generating its own energy consumed during its operations.
Becoming a global reference, in 1986 CBA was already one of the largest aluminum manufacturers in the world. Expanding into domestic markets, in 1992 operations focused on mining began in Itamarati de Minas, in the State of Minas Gerais.
Between 2006 and 2007, the largest aluminum factory in Latin America, Laminação 2000, was founded, being the only one capable of producing two-meter coils. In the following year, operations began in Miraí in Minas Gerais, focused on bauxite mining. Also, the Votorantim Sustainability Principles were defined in the same year.
Further expanding its operations, in 2010 the acquisition of Metalex, located in Araçariguama – São Paulo, focused on aluminum scrap transformation, occurred.
Between 2017 and 2018, the CBA brand was changed. In 2020, the Arconic unit was acquired, and in 2021, 80% of Alux do Brasil was acquired. In 2021, the company also made its debut on B3.
