Brasfoods S.A (BRF) is a food industry company, focused on the production and sale of processed foods, poultry, and pork. With over 30 brands in its catalog, the company has a portfolio of frozen and fresh foods.

In addition, BRF also manufactures foods such as sweets, sandwiches, animal feed, margarine, and mayonnaise. Besides Brazil, the company also has operations in the international market, covering countries in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

In Brazil, BRF is responsible for managing about 20 distribution centers, where it has 45 factories in full operation. The factories are divided into 3 mass processing centers, 35 meat processing centers, 3 soybean distribution centers, 3 margarine centers, and one dessert processing center.
In the international market, there are 27 distribution centers and approximately 23 factories, with 1 in the Netherlands, 9 in Argentina, 5 in Turkey, 1 in the United Kingdom, 5 in Thailand, 1 in the United Arab Emirates, and 5 in Thailand.

The products marketed by BRF include poultry in natural cuts and whole birds, as well as pork and beef, processed poultry products, frozen foods, and other processed foods such as margarine, soy, and vegetable-based products.
BRF was founded in 2009, after acquiring two major brands, Sadia and Perdigão. After the acquisition, the company was named BRF Brasil Foods. Two years later, the company acquired two companies in Argentina, Avex and Dánica, and became one of the largest food companies in the world after fully completing the merger process between Sadia and Perdigão.

In 2013, as a way to establish itself in the international market and become a universal brand, the company changed its name to BRF S.A. Additionally, the company's logo was also changed. In the same year, BRF elected Abílio Diniz as the new chairman of the Board of Directors, who later changed the CEO position and elected Claudio Galeazzi, the company's newest CEO at that time.
Also in 2013, the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games were sponsored by Sadia, which also sponsored the Brazilian National Football Team between 2013 and 2016. In addition to the main team, the sponsorship also covered all other categories of the team, such as the youth team.
In 2014, the company sold assets to the French company Lactalis that were not providing financial returns, such as the brands Cotochés, Elegê, and Batavo. Also in 2014, CEO Claudio Galeazzi announced that he would leave the position, which was later filled by Pedro Faria.
In 2015, BRF was the first Brazilian company to start investing in the issuance of debt securities known as Green Bonds. In the same year, the company announced the creation of snacks as part of its strategic globalization project.

The following year, Sadia Halal was created to be responsible for the assets related to the production, distribution, and marketing processes of foods reserved for the Muslim market. Also in 2016, the company closed a partnership with FFM Berhad, a food processing company in Malaysia.
In 2018, Pedro Parente was appointed by the Board of Directors to be the Global CEO of BRF. In 2019, also by the Board of Directors, Lorival Luz was appointed to take over as the global president of the company.
