Ambipar is a company formed by two reference companies in the environmental management market: Ambipar Environment and Ambipar Response. Both operate in various segments, offering comprehensive services and products aimed at environmental management.

The company is a pioneer in the management and valorization of industrial waste, and its business model focuses on minimizing environmental impacts through integrated solutions.
To this end, Ambipar offers integrated solutions focused on a zero landfill policy, adhering to the principles of the Circular Economy, a model outlined in the National Solid Waste Policy.
In this regard, Ambipar works with a focus on sustainability, through research and development of strategies, as well as in the management and valorization of waste, creating products for environmental protection, distribution, logistics, transportation, training, crisis management, and emergency response.
Present in more than 15 countries, Ambipar operates through 150 operational bases, where it participates and collaborates with important projects aimed at the socioeconomic development of Brazil and the World.
The services provided by the company are offered through two fronts, Ambipar Response and Ambipar Environment, specializing in environmental crisis management and operations in the transportation, valorization, and final disposal of waste, respectively.

The company has a strong presence in the international market, where, in recent years, it made acquisitions, albeit small, both outside and within Brazil. In addition, Ambipar is the only environmental management company listed on B3.
Ambipar was founded in 1995 by Tercio Borlenghi Junior, the current chairman of the board and the largest shareholder of the company, with 56.2% of the share capital. The initial idea for creating the company arose when Tercio decided to establish a waste management company. At that time, this issue was not as widely discussed as it is today.

In addition to the desire to start a business focused on waste management, Tercio aimed to found a company that would also be dedicated to transforming waste into new products.
Following this business line, Ambipar's first contact in the market was with a paper and pulp industry. From this point, the company already outlined what the business model would be, considering a zero landfill policy. To achieve this, the company's bet was on composting techniques and the decomposition process of materials.
With both businesses, Ambipar ended up generating organic fertilizer, which was later used in the forests of the clients the company served. With success in the paper and pulp area, the company began to invest beyond this sector and started to focus on developing its own technologies.
In this sense, Ambipar expanded its business and began to invest in other segments, such as the cosmetics and mining industries. Furthermore, as the issue of environmental preservation began to gain importance, both in Brazil and worldwide, the company faced no obstacles in attracting new clients.

Despite its strong presence abroad and already consolidated activities in Brazil, Ambipar aimed to grow further. As a result, the company went public in 2020 as a way to expand its business. To strengthen itself, up to the time of the IPO, the company had been preparing and carried out, for example, a corporate reorganization and, from that, transformed into a holding company.
Additionally, the company invested in acquiring new businesses in various regions of the world, such as South America, the United States, and Europe. The acquisition strategy was shaped so that the company could go public.

Initially, the funds raised from the IPO will be allocated to negotiations and advance payments of contracts with high fundraising costs, as well as continuing investment in organic expansion through the construction of new commercial offices and new operational bases.
