Unipar Carbocloro is a Brazilian company that operates in the chemical and petrochemical segment, contributing to the industrial development of Brazil. Founded in 1969, the company has units in the state of São Paulo and in Argentina.
The company has established itself in the production of chlorine/soda, later recognized as the largest producer in South America, in addition to specializing in the production of PVC, currently holding second place in production.

With around 1,400 employees, Unipar also takes pride in having international certifications that ensure the company's credibility in its field of operation (ISO 9001). Its products are inputs for various branches of industry, such as textiles, beverages, construction, and others.
However, Unipar also has stakes in other companies, namely: Solalban, an Argentine energy generation company, and Tucano Holding, a Brazilian wind energy generation company.

The company, which has been listed on the Stock Exchange since the 1970s, aims to ensure transparency in the disclosure of information, in addition to committing to cultivating good corporate governance practices.
The history of Unipar began in May 1968, when it was founded under the name União Participações Industriais Ltda. The company eventually became a pioneer in the petrochemical sector, participating in the establishment of the São Paulo Petrochemical Pole, the first in the country.
Still in the 1970s, the company became a publicly traded company. In the following decade, it was already known as a prominent company in the national petrochemical industry.

The following decades (1990s and 2000s) were marked by the company's participation in the National Privatization Program of the petrochemical sector, expanding the capacity of the São Paulo Pole and making acquisitions. In 2008, it became the second largest petrochemical in South America.
In 2013, Unipar acquired half of the share capital of Carbocloro, which enabled it to have 100% ownership. In this sense, the company began to operate directly in the soda, chlorine, and derivatives sector.

The year 2018 was marked by Unipar's classification in an index known as the National Long-Term Rating, which reflects Unipar's position in the Latin American petrochemical sector, a leader in the Brazilian chlorine-soda market, in addition to the company's financial profile.
In 2019, Unipar acquired all shares of Unipar Indupa Argentina, with its public offering completed in December of that year on the BCBA (Buenos Aires Stock Exchange).
