Tegma is one of the leading Brazilian companies operating in the automotive and logistics sectors. Thus, its main activity is logistics operations within the national territory.
The services provided by Tegma cater to the following segments: food and beverages, automotive, cosmetics, electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and petrochemicals, and special projects. Therefore, the company's services are:
1- Automotive logistics: This service begins with the collection of new vehicles from manufacturers, ports, or converters.

They are transported by owned or outsourced “car carrier” trucks to consolidation centers.
At these centers, the routing of trips and dispatch to dealerships across Brazil is carried out.
2- Yard management and vehicle storage: Yard management involves the administration of vehicles that have just been produced or imported.
Areas close to factories or ports are used, which can accommodate up to eight thousand vehicles.
In addition, inventory management and vehicle distribution centers are supported by systems that allow real-time customer tracking.
3- PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection): This service consists of the installation of accessories such as radios, window film, decals, and similar items.
Delivery inspection of new vehicles is also performed according to the model and information received from customers, along with storage and final delivery services.
4- Storage: Involves planning for entry, handling and sorting, picking or order preparation and dispatch.
Some other activities include logistics, reservation, goods inspection, real-time tracking, parts management, and equipment installation.

5- Industrial Logistics: Tegma operates in all logistics management, from receiving the product to supplying production lines.
The company offers services such as: storage, transportation, port operations, handling of bulk solids and liquids, finished products, and inbound operation of raw materials.
Tegma began its operations in 1969, under the name Transportadora Sinimbu. Its founders were Fernando Schettino and Francisco Creso. Initially, the company focused on the transportation of meat.
By 1971, the company started transporting vehicles from General Motors from the São Caetano do Sul factory to Rio de Janeiro and Niterói. Soon, vehicle transportation became the company's main business.
In 1998, through the unification of the logistics operations of Sinimbu with Schlatter and Transfer, Brazilian transportation companies, and the entry of Axis do Brasil, with shareholders from Grupo Coimex and Allied Holdings (the largest outbound transportation logistics operator in the US), Tegma began operating under the name Axis Sinimbu Logística Automotiva S.A.

In 2001, the company acquired Translor Veículos Ltda., a pioneering company in the transportation of new vehicles in the country.
In 2002, Allied Holdings' stake was acquired by Grupo Coimex and Grupo Itavema-Sinimbu. Consequently, the company was renamed Tegma Gestão Logística Ltda.
In 2004, Tegma purchased 49% of Catlog's shares, the sole logistics provider for Nissan and Renault in Brazil.
Later, in 2007, it went public on the São Paulo Stock Exchange and acquired the companies: Tegma Cargas Especiais Ltda, P.DI. Ltda, and Tegma Logística Integrada S.A (formerly CLI).
Additionally, Tegma Venezuela S.A. was created. In the following years, Tegma expanded its operations by acquiring other companies, such as CTV in 2008.
In 2011, Tegma acquired control of Direct Express Logística Integrada S.A, a company responsible for B3B and B2C deliveries with a strong presence in the e-commerce market.

The following year, Tegma acquired the business operated by LTD Transportes Ltda, through the purchase of 100% of Trans Commerce Transportes de Cargas Ltda, which has a strong presence in the fractional logistics market, especially in the distribution of goods weighing over 30 kg.
By 2014, Tegma chose to sell Direct Express to the company controlled by B2W. In 2017, the company's management approved the sale of its 25% stake in the parent company along with Tegma Venezuela S.A.
Finally, in 2018, GDL Gestão de Desenvolvimento em Logística Participações S.A was created, a joint venture that encompasses the storage and handling of general goods activities developed in Cariacica-ES by Tegma Logística Integrada and Companhia de Transportes e Armazéns Gerais (SILOTEC).
