Santos Brasil is a company that operates in port operations and logistics for containers and vehicles. Thus, it has a special focus on port facilities dedicated to providing public port services. In other words, it offers its services to anyone interested in carrying out the movement and storage of containers and vehicles through the waterway mode.

In general, the Company is considered a national reference in container movement. In total, there are three port terminals controlled by the company, all strategically located in Brazil. What makes the execution unique for Santos Brasil is the use of innovative and technological cargo transport solutions from the port to the door, that is, to the final customer.
To better understand the operations of Santos Brasil, we must divide its activities into three main categories, namely:
Port Terminals
Logistics
Vehicle Terminal
Thus, it is present in Brazil through five terminals on the Brazilian coast, namely:
3 container terminals (TC)
1 vehicle terminal (TEV)
1 general cargo terminal (TCG)
In addition, the company has 1 distribution center located in São Bernardo do Campo SP and 2 customs terminals (CLIAS) in the cities of Santos and Guarujá, both on the coast of the state of São Paulo.

Santos Brasil (STBP3) operates a representative amount of cargo at its terminals. To give an idea, about 20% of the containers that enter and exit Brazil pass through the company, reaching to operate more than 1 million units per year, something around 2 containers every minute.
In the port terminal segment, the company has 3 terminals, namely:
Tecon Santos: located in Santos, in the state of São Paulo
Tecon Imbituba: located in Imbituba, in Santa Catarina
Tecon Vila do Conde: located in Barcarena, in Pará

Present in the largest port in Latin America, this terminal of Santos Brasil has performance comparable to the best terminals around the world. Covering 596 thousand m² of total area, the terminal is equipped with a state-of-the-art operational system that remotely and online controls a large part of the port logistics processes.
In total, there are 431 video cameras strategically monitoring the 60 Terminal Tractors, the 4 internal railway branches, the 17 automatic gates with OCR system and the 12 thousand m² of covered warehouses. Still at this terminal, Santos Brasil (STBP3) operates 13 PT cranes and 1 Port Mobile Crane (MHC).
These factors prepare the company to receive extremely large ships, such as the Super Post Panamax, further consolidating its position as a Brazilian hub port. At its terminals, Santos Brasil handles a capacity of 9 thousand TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit).

Strategically located in the center of the Southern Region of the Country, this terminal has no navigation restrictions and features easy access by rail, road, and sea. Additionally, Tecon Imbituba has port infrastructure as extensive as the Santos terminal, being prepared to receive, 24 hours a day, the largest vessels available.
With a total area of 207,000 m², it has 3 covered warehouses and 13 cranes occupying an area of 8 thousand m². At the Imbituba terminal, Santos Brasil has 2 PT cranes, 2 MHC cranes, and 8 reach stackers.

To the north of the country, located just over 100 kilometers from the capital Belém-PA, we have Tecon Vila do Conde. Strategically located in the region for exporting products such as wood, pepper, high-value metals, and refrigerated beef.
This terminal of Santos Brasil offers access to all continents directly or through hub ports in the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. Thus, it is a terminal that leverages the waterway capacity of the region for continuous transport and receipt in a simpler and more direct manner than by road.

In general numbers, the structure has an extensive total area of 86,615 m², being the only terminal in the region with 3 port cranes on wheels, type MHC. More than that, it has a cold chamber for inspecting refrigerated cargo and offers stuffing and destuffing services for containers.
If such port infrastructure were not enough, the company also has a logistics and cargo transport segment. Santos Brasil Logística, as the company's logistics arm is called, operates throughout the container transport chain through the operations of the following structures:
Customs Industrial Logistics Centers (CLIA’s)
Road transport
Distribution centers

From all this infrastructure, it offers customized services according to customer needs. The company is capable of providing differentiated services in logistics engineering, from the port to the final consumer. To this end, it has a fleet of its own trucks of about 130 vehicles to synchronize between maritime transport and the logistics chain of exporters and importers, including the following services provided:
Receiving
Inventory management
Picking
Shipping
Transport

The CLIA Santos is one of the terminals strategically positioned customs to support the logistical operations of the Company's services. Thus, it has 5 warehouses of 7 thousand m² with a container storage capacity of 4,408 TEU ensuring operational quality and value generation for customers in an extensive area of 64,755 m².

Located specifically on the left bank of the Port of Santos, the CLIA Guarujá is a customs terminal with 3 warehouses of 8,730 m² each with a container storage capacity of 2,660 TEU.

Located in São Bernardo do Campo SP, the company's Distribution Center has a total area of 105 thousand m² and handles 120 thousand pallets per month. In this location, Santos Brasil carries out a series of important procedures in this logistical stage, such as:
Storage
Inventory management
Picking
Inventories
Kit assembly
Labeling
Repackaging
Cross-docking
Information management

Located next to Tecon Santos, the TEV is the largest vehicle terminal in Brazil, with a total operational capacity of 300,000 cars per year in a total area of 164 thousand m². The terminal developed specifically for vehicle handling features an advanced Wireless system with data collectors and 24-hour monitoring. In addition, the company offers a Customer Portal for service requests and online operation tracking.

Finally, Santos Brasil operates with technological systems for each specific operation within the vehicle terminal, such as:
Ramp management: RMS System
Yard management: YMS System
Ship operation management: VMS System

The history of Santos Brasil began in 1997, when the company was established and soon after acquired the Tecon Santos at auction by the Consórcio Santos Brasil for a determined period of 25 years at that time.
After more than a decade of development and expansion of activities at this port terminal, the Company decided to conduct an initial public offering of its shares in 2006. Thus, in October 2006, Santos Brasil S.A. completed its IPO on the São Paulo Stock Exchange and initially entered the level 2 listing segment.
As a result, already in 2007, it began the expansion works of Tecon Santos and acquired Mesquita S.A. Transportes e Serviços, now Santos Brasil Logística.

In 2008, Santos Brasil gained the leasing control of the container terminal at the Port of Vila do Conde, in Pará, after a shareholding restructuring. Also that year, the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Tecon Imbituba S.A., was declared the winner of the bidding process for leasing the container terminal at the Port of Imbituba in the state of Santa Catarina, which would be extremely important for the expansion of its business.
The following year, also through a lease, it acquired the Vehicle Terminal for 25 years, expanding the range of services offered.
The year 2015 marked an important productivity milestone at Tecon Santos, reaching a mark of 225 MPH. As a result, Santos Brasil received approval from the Special Secretariat of Ports (SEP) for the anticipation of the contract extension, renewing the concession of the largest container terminal in South America for another 25 years.

The year 2016 marks the Company's entry into the Novo Mercado segment of the Stock Exchange, making it part of a group of companies that voluntarily adopt corporate governance practices in addition to those required by Brazilian legislation.
In 2017, an important contract regarding the Vila do Conde Container Terminal was signed, which provided for the early extension of the lease term for another 15 years, allowing the company to continue its operations in the north of the country. At the same time, Santos Brasil committed to invest R$ 37.24 million in the expansion and modernization of this terminal, totaling R$ 129.04 million by 2033.
More recently, in 2018, the company achieved another operational efficiency milestone, this time with the incredible mark of 243.58 MPH (Movements Per Hour).
