Sondotecnica Engenharia Solos is a company that provides engineering services. With over 3,000 executed projects and more than 400 clients served, the company is a leader in engineering consulting in Brazil.
Currently, the company offers its expertise for projects in various sectors, such as: transportation, housing, energy, environment, and irrigation.

Some of the services it offers include: preliminary and feasibility studies, master plans, basic and executive projects, project and construction management, as well as technical advisory and construction supervision.
The history of Sondotecnica Engenharia began in 1954, when it was founded by engineer Jaime Rotstein. In 1955, the company conducted studies and guided projects for the construction of the Três Marias (MG), Itajaí (SC), and Jaguari (SP) dams.
In 1957, the company collaborated on the studies for the Brazil-Paraguay International Bridge, which later became known as the Friendship Bridge.
The following year, the company actively participated in the construction of Brasília. As a result, it studied, designed, and executed the foundations of more than 100 buildings in the future capital of Brazil.

In the following years, the company participated in various projects. For example, it conducted the technical-economic feasibility study of the Rio-Santos Highway for the National Department of Highways (DNER) in 1967.
Additionally, it also developed the National Irrigation Plan (1969), created the Integrated Development Plan for the Xingu and Tapajós River Basins (1973), and developed the study and project for the Botafogo Metro station in Rio de Janeiro (1977).
In the 80s and 90s, the company was involved in many other projects. For instance, in 1980, the company supervised and managed the works for the implementation of the Serra Azul System, to supply water in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (MG).
In 1982, Sondotecnica Engenharia developed the basic and executive projects and environmental studies for the Manso Hydroelectric Plant in Mato Grosso. In 1993, Sondotecnica Engenharia executed the plan for the Water Supply System of Luanda in Angola.
Furthermore, in 1998, the company was responsible for supervising and managing the works for the Expansion of the Almirante Storni Pier in the province of Chubut, Argentina.

In the 2000s, Sondotecnica Engenharia participated in several other national and international projects.
One Brazilian project that we can mention as an example was the project for road adaptation works for the Expansion of Traffic Capacity of the Marginal Tietê in São Paulo.
Abroad, the company was responsible for overseeing the execution of projects and works for the recovery of the Pan-American North Highway in Peru (2001), and was also responsible for the complete project for the construction of the Water Supply System for the cities of Benguela and Lobito in Angola.
The company continued to expand its participation and carry out various other projects in the following years. For example, in 2014, it managed the engineering projects involved in the implementation of the VLT in the port and central regions of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

In 2016, the company supervised the Implementation of Civil Works 13 – Jade, and in 2018 it developed the executive project for the Dry Storage Unit (UAS) of used nuclear fuel and the auxiliary building for the Almirante Alvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA).
Finally, in 2019, the company executed for Arteris and ANTT, through BIM technology, specialized technical engineering services for the development of projects for the consolidation of the functional phase and executive project of the duplication, marginal roads, and devices of BR-116/PR and BR-116/SC.
