Founded in 2016, and headquartered in São Paulo (SP) with a subsidiary in Switzerland, AgriBrasil is a national grain exporter.
By acquiring soybeans and corn, both genetically modified and non-genetically modified, directly from cooperatives, resellers, and large national producers, AgriBrasil carries out the transportation, marketing, and export of these products. It is also responsible for risk management and logistics in the marketing of these grains.
With branches in the states of Bahia, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Pará, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul, AgriBrasil operates in Brazil's main export markets, as well as with its subsidiary located in Switzerland for direct sales abroad.
The history of AgriBrasil is quite recent. Founded in 2016 by Frederico Humberg, former CEO of Gavilon do Brasil, who aimed to create a grain exporter with 100% Brazilian capital. In its first year of operation, the company reported a positive profit of R$84 million.
In the following year, the project to expand the company's activities begins, focusing on sourcing genetically modified and non-genetically modified grains, and its first branch is inaugurated, located in Sorriso, Mato Grosso. The company also receives its first international recognition at the Global Grain Awards as Emerging Trading. In 2019, there is a new recognition of the company in the top 10 Best in Agribusiness by Globo Rural magazine. In the same year, the company's revenue doubles compared to the previous year.
Following its exponential growth, in 2020 a new branch is inaugurated, this time located in Canarana, Mato Grosso. In the same year, AgriBrasil receives third place among the thousand largest agribusiness companies in Brazil for Corporate Governance Practices from IstoÉ Dinheiro. There is also recognition in three other awards given by Globo Rural magazine in partnership with Serasa Experian. In addition to its awards and recognitions, the company surpassed its revenue from the previous year, tripling it to reach R$1 billion by marketing 1.1 million tons.
In 2021, the first Sustainability report is published, and the branch in Luis Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia, is inaugurated, enabling the first ship loading of 30,000 tons of soybeans at the port of Ilhéus, BA. Furthermore, 2021 is marked by the company's debut on the stock exchange, under the ticker GRAO3.
