The company is responsible for one of the largest producers of flooring, partitions, doors, MDP and MDF panels, wood fiber boards, and paints and varnishes in Brazil.

Eucatex S.A stands out for being one of the few to demonstrate a great abundance of materials for civil construction, the furniture industry, and timber resale. In addition, the company has also developed a Wood Recycling Line.
According to the company, commercial operations are conducted only for legal entities, with established and registered CNPJ's. In other words, sales are not made to individuals.
All work inside and outside the offices is carried out by employees properly uniformed and with company identification badges. Some functions are performed by specialists in the E-Colors paint color pigmentation system. Despite the number of tasks performed by Eucatex S.A., the operating market is divided into three categories, namely:
Furniture Industry
According to the Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries (Abimóvel), the furniture sector consists of about 19,000 companies. Thus, 80% are located in the states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, and Santa Catarina.
In comparison to the rest of the world, Brazil accounts for 3.7% of global production. Therefore, there are 511.8 million pieces produced and R$ 42.9 billion produced. These are data provided by Eucatex from the year 2013, representing 1.9% of net revenue value.
Furthermore, this sector employed approximately 328.6 thousand workers in furniture production directly and indirectly in 2013. This is 3.3% of employees in industrial production throughout Brazil.

Wood Sector
The Wood sector is also one of the key elements for Eucatex. Therefore, it is utilized in the civil construction industry, producing fiber boards and MDP/T-HDF/MDF panels.
Between 1995 and 1996, sales fluctuated negatively. However, there was a recovery in 1997, and performance grew significantly. As a result, there was a promising demand in the self-construction market. It is worth noting that this sector of Eucatex in financially difficult times for Brazil is essential for the country's economy.
Eucatex also works with the export of wood products. One of the target audiences in this sector is the countries of the Mercosur alliance. However, Brazil still has an advantage with labor costs and technology, being considered one of the most modern industries in the world, with a tradition of export.

Paint Sector
Eucatex also takes pride in its vast paint and varnish sector, which involves real estate lines, civil construction, automotive painting, and industrial repainting. With approximately 19,000 workers in this branch alone, the number can increase to 300,000 professionals if we count those directly and indirectly involved.
The real estate paint sector is dependent on the composition of the civil construction industry. However, it manages to stand out due to market seasonality.
In 2013, there was a revenue of US$4.2 billion due to paint consumption, which totaled 396 million gallons. Of this number, 317 million were allocated to the civil construction category. In other words, 80% of the total in the market. Therefore, Eucatex along with Brazil ranks 5th in global paint production.

Previously known as Serraria Americana, established in 1923 in São Paulo, the company emerged. It was only on November 23, 1951, that the company became Eucatex. A Brazilian industry that started with the use of eucalyptus as raw material for the production of boards and panels.

Eucatex S.A began to expand outside Brazil between 1956 and 1965 with offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Production grew by 100 tons per day. Thus, it started exporting to Europe.
In 1980, it managed to expand with offices in the United States of America (USA), Mexico, and also in the Netherlands. At this same time, it also developed paints. By the end of this decade, Eucatex was already exporting to clients in different countries.
