The history of Cyrela Brazil Realty began in 1962, when Elie Horn founded the company. Initially, the Company specialized in the incorporation of commercial and residential buildings. Furthermore, right at the very beginning, all construction processes were outsourced.

A few years later, in 1981, Cyrela Brazil simplified operational processes by founding Cyrela Construtora and Seller Consultoria Imobiliária e Representação, both subsidiaries of the company. The subsidiaries were established exclusively to handle the construction and exclusive sale of the properties marketed by the company.
In 2005, the company was a pioneer in the real estate sector by completing the public offering of shares on the Brazilian stock exchange, in the Novo Mercado, the highest governance index of B3. The initial IPO took place back in 1996.
A year later, the company founded Cyrela Urbanismo, responsible for managing the properties that the company owns in the 16 Brazilian states. The Living brand, specialized in medium-standard developments, was also founded in the same year.

By 2010, in order to provide better living conditions for construction workers, Cyrela Brazil launched the Instituto Cyrela. A year later, in 2011, the Living subsidiary launched a platform specialized in offering information about financing and purchasing properties.
In 2014, the Cyrela Group began to be managed by Efraim and Raphael Horn, sons of Ellie Horn. By 2018, another brand was founded by the company, Vivaz. The brand, established in partnership with the social project Minha Casa Minha Vida, from Caixa Econômica Federal, offers quality and low-cost developments.
In general, the growth of the Cyrela Group and the brands it manages, especially Cyrela, Living, and Vivaz, has been made possible through acquisitions made over the years, as well as joint ventures created with companies in the same sector.
