Baumer is a company that operates in various areas, such as products for surgical centers, sterilization, orthopedics, spine, wound treatment, biomaterials, among others. Thus, the company produces medical and hospital equipment, such as surgical accessories, prosthetics, orthopedic intervention equipment. 

The company is headquartered in the city of Mogi Mirim, in São Paulo and, in the greater São Paulo area and nearby regions, serves clinics, hospitals, blood centers, and public and private universities. In addition, Baumer also provides equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, laboratories, and research institutes. 

Baumer's main products are:

Baumer's history began in 1952, after Manoel Amaral Baumer, who was only 22 years old at the time, decided to transform his newly established auto parts company into a place where it would be possible to manufacture implants and instruments so that Brazilian orthopedists could care for his wife, a victim of a car accident. 

The company's investments and productions, until 1970, were all controlled by Baumer Cia & Ltda. This is because the company, in a growth phase, turned to the stock market and, as a result, changed its name to Baumer Medical Hospital Equipment S.A. 

In 1988, the holding Baumer S.A. was formed and began to be responsible for the Strategic Planning and Financial Control of the companies. In addition to planning, the holding also manages other areas, such as Human Resources Policy, Corporate Marketing, among others. 

Later, in 1996, Baumer S.A took control of other companies, such as Baumer Hospitalar Ltda. and Baumer Ortopedia Ltda. Together, the companies operate in different areas, such as sterilization, surgical, lighting, furniture, laundry, and services. 

On the Stock Exchange, Baumer is listed with both common shares (BALM3), preferred shares (BALM4), and fractional shares (BALM3F and BALM4F).
