Alper Consultoria e Corretora de Seguros S.A. is a company that provides specialized consulting services in corporate, mass, benefits, auto and transportation insurance management. It operates in various segments and is present throughout the country.

The company is a publicly traded corporation, listed on B3 under the code APER3. As its main activity, the Brazilian insurer acts as an intermediary for insurance services, in addition to corporate, automobile, pension and life insurance.
Currently, the company has offices in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Vitória, Belo Horizonte, Salvador and Aracaju. In total, the company has 15,000 clients and manages over R$ 1.5 billion in premiums.
To carry out its activities, Alper operates through insurance brokers that serve as a form of protection for the company. Since its founding in 2010, the company has acquired around 46 brokers.
The history of Alper began in 2010, when the company was founded under the name BR Insurance. The company's foundation occurred after several insurance brokers merged, initiating the provision of services through BR Insurance.

In the same year the company was founded, the capital was also opened, that is, the IPO on the Brazilian Stock Exchange. That year, the company was valued at R$ 2 billion. After its foundation, the company began the expansion process and, to that end, started acquiring smaller insurance brokers.
Despite the acquisitions, the company maintained the CNPJ of the smaller companies and integrated these same companies through a service sharing center. With this, BR Insurance was able to incorporate nearly 50 new insurance brokers.
With the acquisition of the companies, BR Insurance allowed the shareholders of the acquired companies to remain as partners of the broker and had the right to receive an equity stake in the holding.

In 2015, BR Insurance faced serious internal problems. The following year, in 2016, the company underwent restructuring, during which some previously acquired brokers were sold and others were fully acquired.
In 2018, the company's corporate name was changed from BR Insurance to Alper Consultoria e Corretora de Seguros.
