Founded in 2003, WDC Networks began its activities by focusing on the commercialization of products aimed at wireless technology and data transmission. Initially focused solely on Internet via Radio, the company later expanded its portfolio, also working with Broadband, Electronic Security, Unified Communication, in addition to offering infrastructure in Data Center, Professional Audio and Video, Data Security, and IoT.
In 2007, aiming at new markets, WDC began offering services in the Security area, with solutions in physical security, electronic security, and access control. In 2011, the group entered a new market in the Telecom equipment sector. The year 2012 was marked by the inauguration of the company's Distribution Center, located in Ilhéus, Bahia, with a storage capacity of over 2 million pieces, delivering products nationwide.
The company established its subsidiary in 2013, called MaxBR, further expanding its reach in the rental of technological equipment. In 2013, the subscription sales of technology products, called TaaS, also began. By 2017, the group received an investment from the private equity fund 2bCapital, thus enabling the development of service quality and resources for the growth of TaaS. That same year, a Distribution Center was inaugurated in São Paulo.
In 2018, the company acquired Axyon Distribuidora, integrating WDC Networks into the Data Center, cybersecurity, and home automation market. There was also the inauguration of SmartWDC, dedicated to IoT, and a modern training center. In the following year, 2019, the acquisition of Munddo Distribuidora took place. Additionally, the company began its operations in Colombia, strategically entering the broadband market of neighboring countries to Brazil. That same year, its logistics center located in Panama was opened.
Marking 2020 with its entry into the solar energy market, the company inaugurated its production and distribution center for generators in Extrema, Minas Gerais.
